Little Boy Lost: Book Six

Reunited with his father but missing the one man he loves more than any other, Jamie Mayfield attempts to put his life back together amid rehab, seizures, and the gutting loneliness of Brian’s rejection. As he tries to cope, Jamie finds that relying on his friends isn’t nearly as difficult as he’d imagined, and soon he can once again stand on his own two feet.
While recovering from his addiction, Jamie starts a new phase of his life at college, working to become the man Brian needs him to be. Only one question remains: Can Jamie earn Brian’s forgiveness and win back his trust, or will their love be sacrificed at the altar of Jamie’s demons?
Brian and Jamie’s epic journey comes to a close in this thrilling conclusion to the Little Boy Lost series.

REVIEW:

Here it is, book 6 is out there and it is a triumph of love and spirit.  I must admit I was a bit nervous there for the first 100 or so pages but I knew she wouldn’t let me down.  The final book is told from Jamie’s point of view again making the series 3 each.  Barnaby carried off the first person narrative in beautiful style.
This is a series that will go on in the hearts and minds of readers forever, and probably be re-read often.  I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.  Thanks JP for giving us Brian and Jamie.  Now, it’s tie to push for a movie version of each book!

*****SPOILER ALERT!******

It would be hard to really say a lot without giving something away so you may want to keep that in mind before you go on with reading the review.  I hate to read reviews that give something away and never bother to give a warning ahead of time.
Yeah, true love does conquer all and sometimes, if we persevere life does go the way we want.  After all the hell that the boys suffer they get their Happy Ever After.
If I gave stars as some say I should, this would get a 5 star review all the way.  I got my advance copy about seven last night and stayed up reading until five this morning, I couldn’t stop.  Some say can’t put the book down, but since I read it on my laptop…  Anyway, read this and know that after 5 books, countless horrors for both of them, and turmoil between them Brian and Jaime are happy.  See I gave a bit much but no details.  I’ll leave you with this though, the book and series ended on just the right note.
