Little Boy Lost: Book Five

Finally together, Brian McAllister and Jamie Mayfield have risked everything in a desperate escape. Jamie is now free of his tormentor, Steven O’Dell... for the moment. But Brian and Jamie know that one wrong choice could lead Steven to their door.
With the strength of Brian and his friends to protect him, Jamie hides and finds the one person he is truly afraid of—himself. The long, lonely hours in the place Leo found for them to stay leave Jamie with nothing to do but think. He thinks about Brian, about the direction their lives should take. He thinks about his parents, about the industry he left behind. Mostly, though, he thinks about drugs. Jamie wants to feel good again, forget about his self-hatred, and stop the gnawing cravings that prey upon his mind and body even as he tries to start a new life with Brian.
One moment of weakness may prove to be fatal for them both.

REVIEW:

Again told from Jamie’s point of view, ESCAPED continues the LITTLE BOY LOST series with its most heart touching chapter since the first.  With the boys together again things should begin to improve but sadly do to the torture Jamie went through at the Hands of his lover/manager Steven, he is far from healthy or ready to continue his love affair with Brian.
They are both still tied to the world of pornographic film making and the graphic sexuality is still there to augment the rifts between the lovers.  Can love conquer all for these young men?
Barnaby has woven tale of such intricate design that each book is dependent on the others to tell the story of the progression of this relationship.  She has given us a love story of epic proportion along with one of the most erotically charged series I have yet read.  Her characters are, for the constant reader, becoming a part of you as they did me.  The fate of these two boys has had me on edge for months waiting for the final chapter, yet dreading the end of this amazing story.
I personally don’t know what I will feel when I finish Book 6: SACRIFICED in a few days.  Tomorrow, July 2nd, 2012 is release day for the final book of the series.  That title worries me but I don’t believe Barnaby has drafted such a love story only to keep us from our, or the boys’ happy ending.  I will post the review for the final book as soon as I have finished it.
This will be a series that will be remembered for many years to come by anyone who has followed it and fallen for Jamie and Brian as I have.  Can true love conquer all?  Very soon, we shall find out; join me for Book 6: SACRIFICED, available soon from Dreamspinner Press.
