BLURB:
Dante is a talented musician. When a hot groupie
offers to be his sex slave in exchange for his soul, he thinks it's a kinky
hook up. Instead he's bound to an Incubus on probation and there's hell to pay.
Dante is a struggling musician in New Orleans with
no time for a social life. He doesn't know that his passion has caught the eye
of some otherworldly creatures who want more from him than the music he makes.
Eroc is a sex demon on probation for showing mercy
to a human. When the King of the Incubi hands him the important mission of
retrieving Dante's soul, he knows that it is his last chance. But Eroc never
anticipated the pleasure he feels when obeying the sexy musician.
Can the two overcome their differences and make a
meaningful relationship out of a shady business deal? Or will they both lose
themselves in the roles they've been cast to play?
REVIEW:
Jana Downs is another first for me as I have seen
her name on many e-book covers since I started reviewing back in February but
hadn’t found just the right book to start with until now.
INCUBUS SONG was the perfect choice for me. This is the first in a new series for the
author and it hits all of the right notes right from the first page. There is a great deal of humor, romance,
steamy hot sex, and a bit of drama thrown in.
My only complaint would have to be that the story
felt a bit rushed in places and could have stood a little fleshing out in the
characterization area. Another ten or so
thousand words would have made a terrific book even better. I will be waiting with eyes a blazing’ for
book two!
Good to know! Nice, succinct review that is informative without spoilers. Will be keeping my eye out for more from this author and more reviews from you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great compliment. I try very hard to set the right tone in the reviews. You want to get the reader interested without giving away anything that would make buying the book pointless.
ReplyDeleteI'll be posting new reviews this weekend.
Randy
